We are Emergency Tech Repair
And we are unlike any other repair shop, read below to find out why.
About Us
Emergency Tech Repair was founded in June of 2022 by our visionary CEO, Elisha Lewis, a service-disabled Air Force veteran, with a bold mission: to bring urgent, compassionate care to the world of technology. The idea for the company was born out of necessity when Elisha struggled to find a job during the pandemic. Determined to create an opportunity not just for himself but for others, Elisha turned a challenging situation into a thriving business.
The spark that ignited this journey occurred when Elisha and his wife, Abi, purchased a retired ambulance, which soon became our iconic symbol of swift and reliable service. Abi’s creativity and quick thinking led to the name that has become synonymous with tech rescue—Emergency Tech Repair.
Our journey took a significant turn in October 2022, when Elisha met Payton Delude at Juicy Lucy’s. A month later, Payton’s brother, Jared, joined the team. With Payton as CTO and Jared as COO, we formed a dynamic partnership that laid the groundwork for our rapid growth. By February 2023, we proudly opened our first physical store in the Asheville Mall, marking the beginning of a new era for Emergency Tech Repair.
In October 2023, longtime IT professionals Roger and Sherry Thomas joined as partners and strategic advisors. The Thomases bring over 20 years of experience in the IT and telecommunications industry, having founded and operated the Arkansas-based firm TeleComp, which grew to employ more than one hundred full-time team members across four locations in Arkansas and Oklahoma before its successful sale. Their leadership and insight have been instrumental in shaping ETR’s operational systems, business strategy, and financial growth. Today, Roger and Sherry remain actively involved as financial partners and trusted advisors, helping guide the company’s expansion and long-term vision.
Our dedication to excellence and community support fueled our expansion. By February 2024, we outgrew our original space and moved to a larger location on Patton Avenue. Simultaneously, we expanded our reach by opening a second store in Greenville, South Carolina. Along the way, we also enhanced our service offerings to cater to small businesses, officially launching our business services in January 2024.
At Emergency Tech Repair, we are proud to be a living wage-certified company, ensuring that our team is fairly compensated for their hard work and dedication. We’re also honored to be recognized as an Apple Independent Repair Provider (IRP), further solidifying our commitment to quality and trust.
Our growth and success would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our communities. From Asheville to Greenville, your trust in us has driven our passion and commitment. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve you and look forward to continuing to be your trusted partner in technology care.
Elisha Lewis, our CEO, has been recognized as one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30, a testament to his leadership and vision. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to delivering exceptional service, fostering innovation, and supporting our communities every step of the way.
