Emergency Tech Repair Announces Return to Asheville Mall and Temporary Service Focus on Device Repairs
ASHEVILLE, N.C. — 6/15/2025 — Emergency Tech Repair, a veteran-owned technology repair company founded by CEO Elisha Lewis, is announcing its return to the Asheville Mall as part of a renewed focus on fast, reliable device repair services for the Asheville community.
Emergency Tech Repair previously operated within the Asheville Mall and is now moving back into the space to better serve walk-in customers, increase accessibility, and refocus the business around its strongest core service: phone, tablet, and computer repair.
As part of the transition, Emergency Tech Repair will temporarily limit its general tech support services, tech support subscription offerings, and certain managed support services. During this period, the company will focus primarily on repair work, including device diagnostics, screen repairs, battery replacements, computer repair, data recovery, and related in-store repair services.
This temporary adjustment is due to staffing constraints, the operational demands of the move, and the company’s need to rebuild service consistency during a period of internal transition.
“Emergency Tech Repair has been through a difficult season, and I want to be transparent with our customers,” said Elisha Lewis, CEO of Emergency Tech Repair. “Over the past year, I have personally faced significant life and business challenges. At the same time, two managing partners and owners stepped away from the company, and that impact was felt across the business. In some areas, we did not meet the standard that our customers deserve. I take responsibility for that, and this move is part of our plan to refocus, rebuild, and return to the level of service Asheville has expected from us.”
Lewis emphasized that the company’s repair customers remain the priority during the move.
“Rather than trying to offer too many services while understaffed, we are narrowing our focus so we can do the work well,” Lewis said. “Repairs are the foundation of Emergency Tech Repair. That is where we can provide the most immediate value to our customers right now, and that is where our attention needs to be.”
Emergency Tech Repair will continue to communicate updates as additional services become available again. Existing subscription and support customers may experience temporary service limitations, and the company will work directly with affected customers on next steps, scheduling, and expectations.
The return to Asheville Mall represents a reset for the company and a renewed commitment to the local community.
“We are not pretending the last season has been easy,” Lewis said. “But we are still here, we are still committed, and we are making the changes necessary to serve people better. I am grateful to every customer who has supported us, been patient with us, and given us the opportunity to earn back their trust.”
Emergency Tech Repair will announce its updated Asheville Mall hours, opening date, and service availability through its website and social media channels.
